travel cruising the world grand princess hawaii around the ship
Lynn and I took this cruise just for a restful getaway to get a little sun and play tourist.
We chose to sail out of San Francisco because we never had before and we wanted sail the harbor and out under the Golden Gate.
The four day crossing to Hawaii was okay, but we had no bright sun for sitting around the pool until the last day before reaching Hilo, Hawaii.
Then, enjoyed a full day in the sun and watched the Super Bowl on the big screen over the pool.
We met some nice people on this cruise both at dinner and playing trivia.
We had some our best service in the Dining Room from a great waitress, Laura, but also suffered four uncharacteristic poor meals.
We learned that the Grand Princess was due to go into drydock soon for repairs and upgrades.
Unfortunately, while the staff was generally good, we felt that the ship and the cruise was "tired" and did not live up to our expectations for Princess.
